Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Happy New Year!! New year means new recipes, so this year I'm going to try to form a more consistent uploading schedule. I'm going to try to upload recipes at least twice a month. Moving on, today I've finally perfected my peanut butter chocolate chip cookie recipe. I've tried this recipe with various different flours and even without flour at all, but the best results came from a mixture of both flour and peanut butter for the base. So here's the recipe - I hope you enjoy it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and butter/grease a cookie pan
  2. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl
  3. In a separate bowl mix the butter, sugars and peanut butter until completely smooth
  4. Stir in the vanilla and egg
  5. Once the butter mixture is completely smooth add half of the flour mixture and mix
  6. Then add the second half of the flour mixture and stir until completely incorporated
  7. Add the chocolate chips then separate the batter into 1 tablespoon portions and put them on the cookie pan about 2 inches away from each other
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges become a golden brown
  9. Allow the cookies to completely cool before serving and enjoy!!
