Easy Russian Buttercream

I'm gonna keep this post pretty short but, I noticed that I haven't posted any frosting recipes yet so here's a super easy one, and it's also one of my favorites.  Hope you enjoy!   :)


Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (diced)
  • 14 oz (1 can) condensed milk 
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract 
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:
  1. Add room temperature butter and condensed milk into a bowl and mix with a stand or hand mixer until it forms a creamy texture - Tip: Don't use cold butter, it won't form the right texture when mixed with the condensed milk 
  2. Add salt and vanilla into the mixture and continue to mix
  3. If the frosting isn't sweet enough for your liking you can add powdered sugar to sweeten it up
  4. Tip: Don't over mix the frosting or else the consistency won't be thick enough for you to use - hope you try this one out
