I haven't posted a chocolate chip cookie recipe on here yet so I figured and easy recipe like this would be great to add. Easy recipe, and I might even make an edible cookie dough recipe after this one since the raw dough with this one isn't edible. Anyways, here's the recipe!!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter (softened/room temperature)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- Your desired amount of chocolate chips or unsweetened chocolate morsels
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prep a cookie pan
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt
- In a different bowl, mix together the softened butter, and both the brown and white sugar until it reaches a uniform consistency
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the sugar and butter mixture
- Slowly add the dry mixture into the butter mixture until everything is combined and the dough is formed
- Fold in as many chocolate chips as you'd like and separate into 1-2 tablespoon sections and bake for 10-12 minutes and take them out of the oven when they begin to look golden-brown
And that's it!! I hope you try this recipe yourself :)
