It's been a while since my last post, but I'm back!! Today's recipe is banana bread!! I've wanted to post this one for a while but I've just never had time. So here I am to share the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of unsalted room temperature butter
- 1 cup of sugar (brown or white work)
- 2 eggs
- 3 very ripe bananas
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 & 1/3 cup of flour
- Optional: 1/3 cup of walnuts or pecans
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and butter a loaf pan
- Mash the ripe bananas and beat the eggs then stir them together
- With an electric mixer, cream together the unsalted butter (cut into cubes to make this easier) and the sugar
- Combine the banana egg mixture with the butter mixture in a large bowl
- Add the salt, baking soda into the large bowl
- Slowly add the flour, 1/3 cup at a time, and mix thoroughly
- This is step is optional: fold in the walnuts or pecans after mixing the batter
- Pour the batter into a loaf pan and bake for 35-45 minutes
- Allow the bread to cool for at least 10 minutes then enjoy!!
